WELCOME to the Pope Dads' Club Website!!
Pope Dads Club operates in conjunction with the Principal, Administrative Staff, Teachers and the PTA at Pope Elementary School in an effort to make a difference for our children. The Dads Club promotes a positive school environment through Presence, Participation, and Philanthropy. We are focused on shaping the future of our community by inspiring and supporting today's learners through being a positive influence in their lives.
PRESENCE: One example of our presence to support the school is through Dads @ Doors. This is a bi-monthly activity where we wear the Dads Club shirts, direct traffic, and give a warm greeting to the children and parents. Parents are less stressed with no lines and the kids start out with a smile. No one is usually tardy on these days.
PARTICIPATION: The Dads club participates by sponsoring several activities throughout the year including "Spruce N Juice" Welcome Back Party where Dads connect with their kids to spruce up the playground and have fun afterwards playing games and socializing. We promote educational and fun activities such as reading night, roller-skating, Winter Party, Donuts with Dads, Historical Timeline Presentations, Fall Festival, Neighborhood Caroling, Build a Birdhouse Event, Tipi Tellers and more!
PHILANTHROPY: Philanthropy comes in through fund raising to provide needed items for the school. Past examples included a portable PA system, contributions to library books, the math closet, telescope, soccer goals, front yard makeover, a complete science room makeover. Last year the main project was the Extreme Makeover: Teachers Lounge Edition.

Pope Dads are pitching in to improve the school and promote a safe, fun learning environment.
All volunteers for the Pope Dads Club must be approved by the AISD prior to participating in ANY school activity as required by AISD.
